How I Added Over 100 People to My Email List in a Couple Days

One of my biggest business regrets is putting off building an email list.

I literally put this off for years.

I knew it was valuable because an email list is an asset.

I knew it was valuable because email marketing is one of the most highest-converting digital marketing channels.

I knew it was the way to bypass the algorithms of social media platforms and have a direct line of communication.

I knew all of that…

But it just seemed so gosh darn daunting!

I don’t want that to be you! I want you to have an email list bursting with potential course buyers, so I’m sharing with you the three best things I’ve done to grow my email list:

1.      I changed my mindset about list building. I realized that my email list was never going to be smaller than it was on the day I started. When you have zero subscribers, the only direction you can go is up and the longer I put off building a lead magnet, the longer I stayed literally at the lowest point I could go.

2.      I created a strong lead magnet that I knew would appeal to people who want to create an online course because those are the people I’m looking to attract. I’ve created a lead magnet template for you that you can quickly customize so you can knock this off your to-do list this afternoon. You can click HERE to get access to it.

A strong lead magnet offer is one that leads your prospect to believe that they will be closer to achieving the goal once they have your lead magnet.

3.      I got other people to share it with their email list. Think about someone in your network who serves a similar audience but isn’t your direct competition. We all want to serve our audience and add value, so it makes sense that others would be willing to promote your lead magnet if they see the value in it.

If you don’t believe that someone else would share your lead magnet, you probably need to make a better lead magnet, to be perfectly blunt.

It might help to think about it from the other side, from the perspective of the person you are approaching to promote your lead magnet.

Let’s say you are a social media expert and a photographer says, “Hey, I have these ten stock photos that I’m offering as a lead magnet, do you think your audience would be interested?” If the photos are beautiful and eye-catching you just might say yes because it’s likely that one of the biggest complaints you hear from people is, “I don’t have any images to post.” Now you get to be the hero that points them to a great resource.

See how it works?!

And that’s it! A simple but powerful way to add people to your email list. Don’t forget to grab my lead magnet template, so you can start building your own email list. Click HERE to get access to it!
